RelaTune Check-Ins

Relationship work shouldn't feel this hard

We started RelaTune because we saw the same problem everywhere: couples who care about their relationship but struggle to make progress between sessions, or can't access therapy at all. The same conflicts come back. Good intentions fade without structure. And the options available felt either too clinical, too expensive, or designed for one person, not two.

Our story

RelaTune Check-Ins grew out of a simple observation: couples who build small, consistent habits around communication have better outcomes, whether they are in therapy or not. But there was no tool designed specifically for that. Habit trackers ignore the two-partner dynamic. Therapy apps require long sessions and clinical framing. Journaling apps are built for one.

We set out to build something different: a companion that works for both partners equally. One that guides you through short, manageable check-ins and micro-exercises, learns your patterns over time, and helps you see real progress without judgment. For couples working with a therapist, we added optional exports that bring structured summaries into sessions, saving time and making care more continuous.

Everything we build is guided by a few firm beliefs: that relationship work should be low-stigma and accessible, that both partners deserve equal agency, that privacy and consent matter at every step, and that small, consistent effort matters more than grand gestures.

Our mission

To make relationship skill-building accessible, private, and structured enough that couples can build real progress, one short check-in at a time. We believe that small, guided steps with clear progress and optional clinician-ready summaries can change how people experience relationship work.

What guides every decision

Supportive

We create a calm, nonjudgmental experience that helps both partners feel safe enough to participate. Encouragement over evaluation, always.

Clear

Plain language and unambiguous steps so you always know what to do next. Every screen shows the time cost, the outcome, and one clear action.

Trustworthy

Transparent about what the app does, what it doesn't do, and how sharing works. You review before anything is shared, and you control access at every point.

Motivating

Small wins and gentle structure build momentum. We celebrate consistency, not perfection, and highlight collaborative progress over competition.

How we design

1

Two humans, one flow

Every core path works smoothly for both partners. Invites, turn-taking, and visibility are always balanced.

2

Lead with de-escalation

Boundaries, timeboxes, and pause options come before emotionally loaded questions. Safety first, always.

3

Make the next step obvious

Every screen ends with one clear primary action and a short preview of what happens next.

4

Progress without judgment

We visualize trends and completion as information, not grades. No 'good partner / bad partner' framing.

5

Consent at the moment of sharing

Exporting or therapist-sharing always includes a review step, scope explanation, and explicit confirmation.
